Call for Papers – brochure on TiSA negotiations

The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung, Brussels Office wants to publish a brochure on the ongoing TiSA negotiations. We are aiming at a brochure which presents in an easy, understandable language the complicated content to a wider public. With this publication we want to support the ongoing struggles of social movements, NGOs etc. against the current negotiations and possible implementation afterwards. We are thus aiming at a broader public as target group of this publication, so people who are interested in questions of trade and public services, but without being in any case specialists in this subject.

We understand our TTIP brochure (author John Hilary of War on Want) as a model for the TiSA publication. The brochure should explain the broader debate on trade and services agreements and the problems they pose for a democratic and sustainable development of economies.

).All relevant chapters of TiSA have been leaked already. Although these leaks obviously don’t present the full picture we would like the author to focus on the available text (if made available of course the official end result of the negotiations of 5-6 December 2016) and present the most important challenges this agreement would pose to a democratic, prosperous and ecologically sustainable society.
